These 2 Tejon Ranch hogs were taken by myself (left) and best friend (Jeff Fitz-Patrick) these hogs were taken at 582 yards down hill and on the run. Yeah, I know what your thinking, but that's the truth and we used a laser range finder to verify Yardage. I used a .280 Ackley I built on a Mark X action Shilen 26 3/4" barrel using 162gr. Hornadys and Jeff uses a Ruger 77 SS .300 Win Mag using Winchester 180 factory ammo |

A real nice 235 lb. hog taken at Tejon Ranch in southern California 200+ yards on the run with a 30-06 Ruger 77 tang safety. Photo made the outdoor news paper. Taken by a real good friend Richard Arias |

This deer was taken by a customer with a pre'64 Winchester Model 70 in 30-06 I restored for him. This buck was taken at a little over 300 yards. A real nice Montana buck. |

Another nice taken from the Tejon Ranch this one weighed between 160-180 not a huge hog for the ranch but what made this an outstanding hog was the fact that he had 3 1/4" tusks and the mousy coloration. Shot with a ruger 77 that I had done some tuning on at a 120 yards using Remington 175 gr factory loads. the brother-in-law took this one, dropped like a rock. pictured are myself and Tejon Ranch Guide Darrell Francis if you ever get a chance to hunt the Tejon Ranch in Calif. and have the money for the guided hunts Darrell is your man!. this gentleman is in his 70s and was voted Kern county's outdoors man of the year. An outstanding person full of knowledge and history and as far as hunting goes you can't keep up with this man. i am 30 years younger than this man and couldn't keep up with him. |
This is one of many animals taken by George S. of PA on an Eastern Cape South African Safari. Each of these animals were taken at 100+ yards with the .338-06 featured on the Galary Page. |
